We are Nellinka´s parents. Tragically, her faith decided to meassure an extremely short time for her life among the loved ones. On the threshold of adulthood, she left us after a fatal road accident on 5th June 2013 at the age of 18. The driver survived, Nellinka died on the spot. She was our only child together. Our pain for her loss is enormous. Despite the tragic moment, we strive to fight for Nellinka and for our life to be meaningful again. We long to keep and remember Nella´s imprint and footmark of her short life – for her to live on in our memory and for our great love to her.
A natural result of such struggle is this foundation – institute. We do realize we are not the only parents whose life has been changed dramatically by this tragic event. For this reason, we would like to share our thoughts and feelings with families similarly afflicted and help each other. We hope that mutual support, help and belief will help us to accept our future in a less painful way. Despite the unbearable sorrow, we hope we can fulfill our life and lives of others.
Our goals
Our intentions are simple – we did not want the name Nelly to completely disappear from our lives – with links and services, we want to help people that find themselves in a similar situation as we were in. People like ourselves have often ended up directionless and do not know whether and where to look for a new path and basic assistance. Or, sometimes what helps the most is – just to meet people with similar interests and experiences, talk to them about anything and share fun activities. Most importantly, no one needs to stay alone with dark thoughts that torture them or bad memories about the terrible moment that changed our lives forever. We want you to know that you are not alone. We aim to provide an opportunity to meet people similarly afflicted, because some issues are best understood by people with similar experiences. Our main goal is to create a pleasant environment – whether it is a cottage in the mountains, a sailboat on the sea, a little celebration of any kind or just roasting up some delicious food beside a big fire. Basically anything enjoyable that helps us forget that tragic day. With hope, perhaps we can see such joyful moments through the eyes of the beloved person already watching us from a different, better world.
Our institute aims to assist with the first response after an accident. We will arrange a meeting with experts including psychologists and psychiatrists in order to outline your short-term and long-term aims. We will also facilitate meetings with those who have been similarly affected to share information. Finally, we will do our best to host meetings in entertaining places so you can share your memories and enjoy activities with other people who understand how you feel and what you are going through.
Co-operation
To meet the long-term goals, INH team creates and implements customized programs, focusing on selected target groups and if possible, works with other organizations on their activities.
